I follow Lee's blog and she is on the Design Team of a new blog and they have their first sketch challenge, I never do challenges, except the CAS cards on SCS, but this one seemed a pretty easy sketch, I love this set "Bloomin' with Beauty" when it came out, I just had to have it, although I must say I have not used it as much as I thought I would! pity is the only stamp I love in the set is the Bee! It seems like this will be a great blog to follow as there are some amazing stampers on there... connie, Lee and Gretchen!

Cardstock: Cameo coral, Whisper White, Old Olive DSP
Ink: Cameo coral and old olive
Accessories: Whisper White ribbon, dazzling diamonds, spots texture plate

Graduation Card

Pat lives about four houses away from our house, she is a very sweet lady and has become a great friend to me! She asked me if I could make a card for her son, who was receiving his Masters degree today at Ely Cathedral. I knew that this meant a lot to her. I did not know where to start as I don't have any Graduation Stamp sets, I did have one, when it retired I sold it, as I did not like it very much! so I remembered the very talented Stamper Mel at Melstampz, way back in February she had posted this gorgeous card. So, I spent a whole day looking for it on her blog.... duh, and found it, now I did not have the card stock nor did I have the background stamp. Well, I came up with this one, stamp used is Stampin'up, from the set Papa's pocket (retired) and the card used is from a UK paper store in St. Neot's! I made the envelope in the shape of a graduation cap, but I could not take a picture as my battery died on me! but I like the way it turned out and Pat liked it too!
Here it is, tell me if you like it!

Flower Mingle

For the month of May - Kathy held a flower mingle at ESYG - Since the flower pot is the on going rage at the moment, this is what I came up with, I had to send it to Caroline, Sue and Jo! Hope you like what I made you ladies.

TJ 1-4-1 Card Swap for May

Every month, over at the Technique Junkies a 1-4-1 card swap is held. I took part in the May Card Swap. My Partner was Vicki Potter, she sent me this lovely bandana technique card and also a lovely handmade necklace! Thank you Vicki for your gift and card.

I had made a card for her as soon as I signed up, but my DH dropped red wine on it, when I was writing the envy! and I could not rescue it, so I got delayed! Well I had to start all over again. I have now sent it with DH to be mailed in the US, as he is visiting there, and it will get to Vicki sooner! hopefully! here is what I made her, well I made two cards and sent one! I used the Faux Designer paper technique. I hope she will like it.

PASTELS.........

I love working with pastels, and Stampin-up has a great box of pastels, in their 48 colour range! I also follow the Panpastel website, and they seem to give some lovely technique on how to use them, for beginner as well as advanced pastel users! Check it out here.

Where does time go.....

I saw this on Kim's blog and thought, I really like this idea, so will post the link out here and share this brilliant idea - I do have a chart of all the punches that SU carries - every year, I make a new sheet so have them filed neatly under the punches, but this idea from Mary/Kim is great, and since I am trying to get organised as I will be moving into my newly built Studio, this will be very helpful! Thank you to Kim and Mary too!! Go here to take a look and make one yourself!
See you later! Have a nice day!

Awful remarks

I had this message sent to me through a group I belong to, that I had bad mouthed some lady and said nasty things about her! Firstly, I am disgusted about it, and secondly, I don't know many ladies in this stamping/crafting world in the UK, the ones I know and have met I can count them on my finger tips - I would never talk ill about anyone, may pass an opinion about something, but I don't like to talk ill about anyone! its not fair, but I suppose, with women gossips, statements get interpreted mostly differently.... it has upset me, as I don't even know the person except that I have had only e-mail correspondence and more over don't know the lady who mentioned it to me either, but then again, I am upset........ I hope that they get to know me who I am and what I represent! Life is hard enough as it is, and why do people do this to each other I haven't a clue!!!!!!!!! life is short so love one and other..... and be kind to somebody who is not kind to you, as they may be having a bad time, that you are unaware of......... with this note I will say good night and go to bed! Have a good Sunday all who visit here!!

3 x 3 note cards

I have been addicted to the 3x3 note cards for a long time now, and my addiction has rubbed on to Kathy at the Tea wifes creations - but she has taken this a step further, take a look here!! Thanks Kathy - I usually made a folded envy for these cuties!! They are so fun and easy and also quick to make - to attach them to a gift or a bottle of home made pickles or jam!! hahaha

Wow... another blog award

Well its a friends blog award, time is simply flying faster than I can breath!! also not being well has not helped me at all!! Well, I don't want to go there!! Ju over at
A Little bit of Cornish Mist has given me this award, so thank you Ju for thinking of me and awarding me with the friend's blog award! Its been a hard move to the UK for me, and its taken a lot of time to make friends here - and I have been lucky knowing Kathy from TJ's and now connecting with all the friends through England Stampers....

I am suppose to pass it on to eight bloggers, who can then choose eight more and will include this cleverly written text.
These blogs are exceedingly charming, these are the kind of bloggers who aim to find and become friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propergated, please give more attention to these writers.

I would like to add this saying - its from a retired stampin'up set and I like the set and the saying very much......
Friendship is a journey of time, love and memories. Well, I would have like to give this to some of the friends Ju has given this award, but did not want to repeat it! I hope you will enjoy the award!
